Doug’s Auto Detailing was founded in July of 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. With so many people staying home and few quality detailing options available in the area, we saw a chance to bring something better to the table—High end professional auto detailing that comes to you.
What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a trusted local service. For over five years, we’ve proudly served Oxford, Lake Orion, Oakland & Lapeer county and surrounding communities—offering convenient, high-quality detailing with a focus on customer service.

who is Doug?
Doug is a young entrepreneur from Oxford, Michigan with a lifelong passion for cars, trucks, and motorcycles. What started as washing family vehicles as a kid grew into a full-fledged love for automotive care. After gaining hands-on experience working as a detailer at local dealerships, Doug set out to build something of his own—a business rooted in quality, convenience, and pride in the work.
Armed with real-world experience and a drive to do things better, Doug launched his own detailing company in July of 2020 and a clear vision. Constantly seeking ways to improve—from testing new products to learning advanced techniques. For Doug, every vehicle matters and deserves to be treated like they should, with care, respect and knowledge.

We offer a full range of professional auto detailing services both mobile and in-shop, including:

What’s the difference between mobile detailing and in-shop detailing?
Mobile detailing brings the service directly to your home, workplace, or another convenient location. In-shop detailing takes place at our fully equipped shop in Oxford, Michigan, which allows for more advanced services like multi-step paint correction and ceramic coatings in a controlled environment.
How do I know which option is right for me?
Mobile detailing is ideal for convenience and regular maintenance. In-shop detailing is best for more in-depth services that require additional time, specialized equipment, or controlled conditions such as advanced paint correction, ceramic coatings, or during poor weather conditions.
Do I need to be present for mobile services?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the vehicle and a safe area to work, you do not need to be present. Once the service approval is signed, you’re free to go about your day.
How long does a detail take?
Service times can vary depending on the condition of the vehicle and the services selected. A basic wash and vacuum may take 1–2 hours, while a full interior and exterior detail typically takes around 3–4 hours. Advanced services like paint correction or ceramic coatings may take longer.
What kind of products do you use?
We use professional-grade detailing products including high-quality cleaners, waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings. Everything we use is safe for your vehicle and designed to produce long-lasting results.
Do you need power or water for mobile detailing?
No. Our mobile detailing unit is fully self-contained with its own water and power supply, allowing us to perform services at most locations.
Do you offer detailing packages or just à la carte services?
We offer both. Customers can choose from complete detailing packages or customize their service with individual add-ons such as hand wax, engine bay cleaning, or odor removal.
How often should I get my car detailed?
For most vehicles, a full detail every 4–6 months is recommended depending on driving conditions and usage. Regular maintenance washes between details help keep your vehicle looking its best year-round.
How can I book an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment online through our booking page, call us at (248) 690-6703, or contact us directly to check current availability. Our hours are 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM – 3 PM on Saturdays.
What’s your shop location and mobile service area?
Our shop is located at 949 S. Glaspie St., Oxford, MI 48371.
For mobile detailing, we service areas within roughly a 30-mile radius of Oxford, including Lake Orion, Rochester, Clarkston, and surrounding Oakland County communities.
Do you have a waiting room?
We recommend arranging a ride if possible. Our shop has a very small waiting area with limited seating, and most detailing services take several hours to complete.
What happens if it rains during my appointment?
If weather conditions are not ideal for the service you booked, we can easily reschedule for the next available day. You also have the option to drop your vehicle off at our shop instead.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and most major digital payment options for your convenience.
How soon can I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled online at any time. Availability varies, but we always try to get clients scheduled as soon as possible. Feel free to reach out to check current openings.
